Vietnamese delegation led by Mrs. Tòng Thị Phóng paid a courtesy call to Samdech President of the Cambodian National Assembly

Prior to the handing over ceremony of the next APPF presidency, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, President of the Cambodian National Assembly hold talks with high level Vietnamese delegations led by H.E. Mrs. Tòng Thị Phóng, Deputy Chairwoman of Vietnamese National Assembly. At the meeting, both sides highlighted the progress of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, both in the legislative and executive branches. Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN congratulated and appreciated the achievements made by the government as well as the people of Vietnam in the overall development and socio-economic development towarding prosperity rapidly.

"We are convinced that under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Party General Secretary H.E. Mr. Nguyễn Phú Trọng, His Excellency Mr. Trần Đại Quang, State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, Prime Minister of Vietnam and H.E. Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, the Chairwoman of National Assembly of Vietnamwill be more successful in promoting industrialization and modernization in country development for a more robust state.” said Samdech President of the National Assembly of Cambodia.

H.E. Mrs. Tòng Thị Phóng informed Samdech HENG SAMRIN during this her visit that besides handing over the APPF presidency to Cambodian parliament, this visit also aims to strengthen ties and cooperation between the two countries in all sectors for a more durable and lasting. H.E. Mrs. Deputy Chairwoman proposed Cambodian parliament to review and continue the implementation for all the agreements between the two houses which have not yet implemented and to increase the mutual cooperation like promoting the exchanges of experiences of delegations of the both houses, enhancing the cooperation of woman parliamentarian, especially increasing the cooperation in law-making.
