Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN: The APPF Is To Build A Long-Term Vision for Peace and Prosperity for the Next Generations 1/15/2019 10:01:41 AM In his capacity as the President of the APPF-27, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN stated that during the last 27 years, the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum has brought about immense proud achievements that stems from great activities and ideals made by the APPF member countries, which have been a reflection of harmony among all nations in the Asia-Pacific. The president further stressed that APPF’s mission not only reflects solidarity, friendship, unity and good cooperation within the APPF family, but also the obligations of the leaders of the legislative branches in the region to build a clear vision for peace and prosperity for the next generations. The Cambodian National Assembly President made the remarks during a courtesy call granted to the heads of the APPF delegations and observers at Sokha Siem Reap Resort and Convention Center in the morning of 15 January 2019 before the inaugural ceremony of the APPF-27. On behalf of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN expressed his warmest welcome and great pleasure to the gracious presence of the APPF delegations in the Kingdom of Cambodia, adding that the guests’ presence offers a great honor and encouragement to the parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which is hosting this important event this year, as an invaluable contribution to the productive discussion so as to find common solutions for the region for the sake of peace and sustainable development.
