The​ APPF​ ​Delegations​ Breathtakingly Admire Cambodia’s Priceless Angkor Wat Temple​

After their participation in the 27th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) for three days in the famous land of Angkor in Siem Reap province, the APPF delegates were visiting cultural places and ancient temples in Siem Reap province on 17th January 2019.

They visited Banteay Srey, Angkor Wat and Bayon temples. When seeing with their own eyes, the delegates expressed admiration in styles, architectures, sculptures and carvings of the temples, which are considered as the largest magnificent structures in the world. And it is very appropriate that the launching of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) was held in famous Angkor land, which is home to abundant cultural heritages.

The APPF also delegates expressed their praises for the glorious masterpieces built by the great khmer ancestors for the next generations.

H.E.​Mrs. Nin Saphon, Chairwoman of the Commission on Public Works, Transport, Telecommunication, Post, Industry, Mines, Energy, Commerce, Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Protocol and Transport of the APPF-27, who organized a tour of the temples for the APPF delegations, said that it is a strategy to promote tourism and attract more foreign visitors to come to Cambodia.

It is emphasised that all APPF-27 delegations were invited to attend the launching of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC), which was presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime, Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in the evening of 15 January 2019 at the Elephant Terrace.
