Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN Receives H.E. Mr. Baimachilin, Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China

During his participation in the Annual Meeting of the APPF-27, H.E. Mr. Baimachilin, Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, and Chinese delegation paid a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and President of the APPF-27, at Sokha Siem Reap Resort and Convention Center on 15 January 2019.
During the courtesy call, NPC Vice-Chairman H.E. Mr. Baimachilin extended his congratulations to the parliament of Cambodia for hosting the APPF-27, which is a crucial forum for promoting peace and sustainable development. He lauded all achievements and development scored by Cambodia, saying that the People’s Republic of China strongly supports Cambodia and pledged to continue assistance for its national development.
In response, Cambodian National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN said the gracious presence of H.E. Mr. Baimachilin, NPC Vice-Chairman, and delegation in the APPF event is a reflection of the stronger ties of friendship and good cooperation between the two legislative bodies of the two countries, especially has offered a great honor for the parliament of Cambodia in its capacity as the host of the APPF-27 towards the successful conclusion of this important event as expected.
Samdech President further recalled that last year, the two countries solemnly commemorated the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations. Closer cooperation between the two countries is a firm foundation for the implementation of comprehensive partnership cooperation which has brought about enormous fruitful outcomes for our nations.
Samdech President also emphasized that the participation of the NPC delegation in the forum will provide more impetus to the existing cooperation between the two legislative bodies through the exchange of experiences and of visits of the two delegations at all levels.
